The Reserve Opens Next Week at The Langham

212_2007_09_efp.jpgThe Reserve will open sometime next week, according to an official source. The Langham's new lobby champagne lounge was originally slated to open yesterday. The bright cream-and-bronze space is part of a $6 million renovation to the hotel's 6,000-square-foot lobby. One of ten locations of The Langham worldwide, the Boston branch is housed in what used to be the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, hence the name of the champagne lounge.

According to Executive Chef Mark Sapienza, The Reserve will serve a light New American menu, including a continental breakfast and a mix-and-match experience for lunch and dinner where diners will choose various components of their meal from a small selection of appetizers, sides, entrees, cheeses, and desserts. Think foraged mushroom quiche, grilled shrimp tacos, and pastries made in-house.

The wine list touches on a variety of regions and price points, and there is, of course, a selection of champagnes and sparkling wines.
