South End Flour Gets New Chef as Old Chef Moves Up

Flour owner Joanne Chang-Myers announced today via Twitter that Chef Dan Tencza is taking over the kitchen of the South End location of Flour as chef Corey Johnson moves up to executive chef of the whole Flour family (which will possibly grow even larger in the near future). According to the Flour website, Johnson began working at Flour in 2008, where "what started as culinary curiosity has grown into one of [his] deepest loves." When he's not in the kitchen, he's tending to his "feline radicals" and "small forest of plants," playing guitar and Scrabble, and eating ice cream. All at the same time, hopefully. "Part time vegan" Tencza has a background in criminal justice but "forwent the path of bad guys and sirens and slaved by the stove instead."
