One of the North End's few non-Italian options is kaput now that the Mexican restaurant El Triunfo, which also featured Salvadoran dishes, has closed. Boston Restaurant Talk reports that news and notes that the remaining South End location on East Berkeley St. is still fully operational. Both locations serve/served tacos, burritos, enchiladas, flautas, pupusas and some Latin-Mediterranean hybrids including a falafel burrito and hummus quesadilla. At least the little Prince Street restaurant went out with some nice words on Yelp, where the hindmost review reads "Finally, an authentic burrito joint to change up the scenery." After all, "el triunfo" means "the triumph."
