Pigalle Bar Manager Leaving for Shanghai

After three years at Pigalle, bar manager Michael Florence is leaving to spend some time over in Shanghai, and the restaurant will be giving out recipe cards with some of his creations, as well as mixing new drinks on Tuesdays and Fridays through the end of September in Michael's honor. Pigalle has not yet found a replacement, according to an employee, who noted that they "are looking for some talented folks, but Michael has some big shoes to fill, and we might still be in denial." At Pigalle, he oversaw an extensive wine list with an appropriately heavy focus on France, along with a number of craft cocktails and beers. He previously spent six years as the general manager and wine buyer for a Colorado liquor store.
