Lulu's Sweet Shoppe Expands Today at Noon

The cupcake-centric North End bakery Lulu's Sweet Shoppe is expanding downtown to Franklin Street in Winthrop Square as of 12pm today. And what's more, the new shop(pe) will be giving away free cupcakes from 12pm to 5pm to mark the joyous occasion. The second Lulu's is to the first what cupcakes are to cake, which is to say that it's much smaller. So small that it's but a kiosk. A post on Chowhound reports that the new, wee Lulu's faces off against a nearby Dunkies kiosk. May the best kiosk win.
