Monica Glass is in as the next pastry chef at Clio, says Eater Philly, which calls Glass "Philly's Most Beloved Pastry Chef." Glass, an alum of Philly hotspot 10 Arts Bistro & Lounge by renowned chef Eric Ripert, plans to create "modern and contemporary desserts" for Clio, which is owned by Ken Oringer and which recently celebrated its 15th anniversary with due pomp and circumstance, i.e. importing nearly every major chef who had served time in the kitchen. Next year, Glass will be among them: she leaves Philadelphia on August 22 and starts at Clio "soon after." Welcome to town, chef.
