John Harvard's Renovations Nearly Complete

Photo: Yelp/W L.

John Harvard's Brewery & Ale House in Harvard Square is preparing to reopen after what a rep describes as "a large scale renovation" and rebranding. Expect the renovated John Harvard's to be pouring suds again by the middle of next month. One interesting change: the menu will now feature a section devoted to "spent grain pizzas" including a margherita and a goat cheese and arugula pie that use "grain from the brewing process" in the crust. Très closed-loop! The twenty-year old brewpub opened in Cambridge and has since spawned expansions elsewhere in the state and in New York and Rhode Island. And while you're in the neighborhood, don't forget about Brother Cleve's new cocktail program at nearby First Printer.
