Stockyard, a Brighton steakhouse that has been around since 1970, closed abruptly last month "until further notice due to renovations." While some suspected that it was gone forever, it turns out that it has actually changed ownership and will re-open. Restaurateur Michael Conlon will go before the Boston Licensing Board next Wednesday for permission to re-open the restaurant, keeping the name. He will also need permission to buy the old Stockyard's liquor license. Conlon's restaurant group, Eat Drink Laugh, also owns West on Centre, The Paramount, The Blarney Stone, and 21st Amendment.
