Delicato Cafe on City Hall Ave in the Financial District is no more. Boston Restaurant Talk reports that news after a post on Chowhound noticed the closure. BRT also notes that the restaurant opened fifteen years ago and served breakfast and lunch on weekdays only. The cafe featured neighborhood-appropriate, proper noun sandwiches like The Broker (barbecue roast beef, BLT, baguette, pickles, onions, cheddar), The Intern (ham, Swiss, rye, lettuce, tomato, pickles, Dijon) and The Investor (chicken salad, Boursin, focaccia, baby spinach, tomato, carrots, Dijon). Have a memory to share about Delicato or info on why it shuttered? As always, weigh in via the tipline.
