Tatte Goes National, 4th Annual Ice Cream Showdown

CAMBRIDGE/BROOKLINE - Tatte Bakery & Cafe owner Tzurit Or has inked a deal with Williams-Sonoma, says Boston Magazine, which means that her baked goods could now reach millions. "For a chef who five years ago was selling handmade treats at the Copley Square farmers' market, it's a monumental leap." [BM]

RKG - Eat Boston presents the 4th annual Ice Cream Showdown, in which participants can sample from 5 of "Boston's top ice cream producers," which may include FoMu, Picco, and Toscanini's. Proceeds benefit the hunger relief organizations Community Servings and Lovin' Spoonfuls. September 8 from 2pm to 4pm at the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
