The Chicago-based, 250-strong chain Potbelly Sandwich Shop is making good on its plans to colonize Boston. Grub Street reports that the company's second store will open "in the coming weeks" and apparently there will be more to come. Potbelly made its intentions clear back in January, saying it would be opening multiple locations starting with one at Logan. That opened in April. Then it announced plans to expand to Downtown Crossing, which is where its sights are now set. With one change. An earlier report had Potbelly bound for 275 Washington, but the most recent Craiglist job post now says 263 Washington. What's significant about that address? It's 50 feet from a Subway. Sandwich chain turf war... commence!
