Pret a Manger Empire Comes to Boston This November

British import Pret a Manger plans to extend its massive global empire to Boston by November. An article in the Back Bay Patch says the chain hopes to open by the middle of that month in was formerly a Borders on Boylston. "This is not a traditional restaurant where there's cooking," says a rep for the company, which serves pre-made sandwiches and other to-go fare and donates everything that doesn't sell each day.
