Somerville burger lovers rejoice! First, on one side of town, Davis Square's Boston Burger Company is in the process of doubling in size, which will hopefully cut down on the epic lines. Now, there's a new place getting ready to open as well. Three-and-a-half miles down the road, the soon-to-be-huge Assembly Row retail and residential complex will be getting Burger Dive, a new project from the Legendary Restaurant Group (also behind Papagayo, Tavern on the Water, Andiamo, and others). Grubstreet Boston reports that Burger Dive is slated to open as soon as mid-September. Meanwhile, Assembly Row won't be entirely finished until 2014, ultimately featuring over 2,000 residential units, a 200-room hotel, shops, a movie theatre, and a new T station on the Orange Line.

According to Grubstreet, Burger Dive will be fun and fast, with hand-cut fries, fresh-baked bread, and boozy milkshakes. (Can't wait 'til September? Fortunately there are plenty of boozy milkshakes around town.) The 28-seat dining room will be supplemented by a large patio.

The Legendary Restaurant Group is also hoping to open a second location of Papagayo at Assembly Row. The first location of the Mexican restaurant and tequila bar is in Fort Point.
