DooWee & Rice Plans for End of Month Opening

East Asia (sniff) replacement DooWee & Rice tells Eater that it's on track to open in Somerville's Powderhouse Square by the end of this month. Chef-owner Duy Tran (hence the "DooWee") says he's still finalizing the menu, but you can check out photos on his website for a glimpse of some pretty exciting looking dishes that may make an appearance. Tran also appears to be testing the menu at Wonder Bar, so keep tabs on his Facebook page to score a preview. Judging from what the tables look like (see photo), it's safe to say that the new restaurant probably won't fly quite as low under the radar as its humble predecessor.
