Billy Joel Shut Out; Suffolk Downs Food Truck Festival

EAST BOSTON - Suffolk Downs will soon play host to its second annual Food Truck Festival featuring a who's who of local mobile grub slingers, including Bon Me, Boston Super Dog, Mei Mei Street Kitchen, Roxy’s Grilled Cheese and tons more. Saturday, September 22, 11am to 5pm. It's free to enter, and you can purchase "taste tickets" ($13 for 10, $25 for 20) here. [Boston.com, Official Site]

GLOUCESTER - Not even Billy Joel himself can get a table at Duckworth’s on a busy night. The Herald reports that the famous musician was turned away from the 36-seat restaurant, which doesn't take reservations and apparently doesn't care if you're Billy Joel either, so don't go trying that rouse anytime soon. SOMERVILLE - In other food truck news, one of the area's lesser known but oldest trucks is now heading for Somerville. The Patch reports that Lefty's Silver Cart will join the Swirl & Slice Market in Union Square on Thursday nights starting later this summer. [Somerville Patch]
