Il Mondo Pizzeria to Expand to Back Bay

Il Mondo Pizzeria, a neighborhood favorite pizza joint (and arguably one of a small handful of acceptable lunch options around Longwood and Brigham Circle), is reportedly expanding to Back Bay, where it will take over the former Pizza Pie-er space near Berklee, according to Adam's Hospitality & Tourism Industry Blog. Yelpers rave about Il Mondo's buffalo chicken and barbecue chicken pizzas, while some even declare the spot to be one of Boston's most authentically NYC-style pizzerias. Also on the menu: wraps and subs, salads, wings, pasta. The address of the new Il Mondo Pizzeria will be 182 Massachusetts Ave., putting it within a tenth-of-a-mile radius of at least three other pizza places: Crazy Dough's, Little Steve's, and Supreme.
