The Kendall Square restaurant bonanza shows no signs of slowing down with news that Belly Wine Bar plans to open shop by August. Chowder reports that the new venture comes from the folks behind nearby The Blue Room and Central Bottle. With a restaurant and wine shop under their belt, it only makes sense that they'd now open a wine bar, having apparently examined a Venn diagram. A post on BostonChefs.com says to expect Belly to open this summer with a menu focusing on "charcuterie, cheese, and wine with a strong emphasis on whole animal cookery, butchering, and local sourcing whenever possible." The Butcher Shop and Bouchon alum Robert Grant, who became executive chef at The Blue Room back in November, will head the new venture.
