Back Bay Bottega Fiorentina Closes

The Newbury Street location of casual Italian eatery Bottega Fiorentina has closed, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. It will be replaced by a new spot called Trattoria Newbury. The Coolidge Corner location remains open, where the menu is similar, but the prices are lower. When reached by phone at the Coolidge Corner location, the owner reported that the Back Bay location lost the rights to the name because he "didn't like how it was being run." He predicted that not much will be different at Trattoria Newbury aside from the name, and he expressed relief at the severed ties between the locations.
