Kid-Free Beer Night at the Zoo; BLT Battle at Sea

DORCHESTER - Franklin Park Zoo will host its third annual Brew at the Zoo event on August 18th, a 21+ evening that allows guests to look at animals while surrounded by drunk adults instead of rowdy children. Blue Hills Brewery, Cambridge Brewing Company, and other local breweries will be present. Tickets are $50 in advance or $60 at the gate. [BRT]

WATERFRONT - A slightly terrifying tank/submarine/BLT hybrid decorates the poster for the BLT Battle at Sea, a sandwich, beer, and karaoke fest on a boat on August 26th. Participating BLT-makers include Chez Henri, Roxy's Grilled Cheese, and Staff Meal. Tickets are $40. [Eat Boston]
