A new food truck appeared in Malden last week, serving patties, coco bread, and other Jamaican dishes right across from the Malden Center T-stop. Chef Kevin "Tunki" Williams, a native of the Blue Mountains region of Jamaica, aims to "bring the flavors of Jamaica to the streets of Boston" via the Makin' Jamaican truck. A note on the truck's Facebook page indicates that they are going through various inspection and lottery processes in hopes to also get spaces in North Reading, Wakefield, and right in Boston, near Mass General, but for now, the only location is the Malden one. Current hours are 4:30 to 10 p.m, Monday through Friday.
