Earlier this year The Oak Room at the Fairmont Copley closed, and tonight the space will reopen as Oak Long Bar + Kitchen, reports Boston Restaurant Talk. The venue's website boasts "a dramatic coppertop bar and restored original architectural elements" as well as "the perfect burger." The Oak Room chef Stefan Jarausch is still in control, and the old-new venue serves breakfast (Lobster Benedict), lunch (pulled pork flatbread) and dinner (hand-cut tagliatelle, with more lobster) seven days a week, plus brunch (Irish whisky French toast, without lobster) on Sundays. Interestingly, the burger is billed as "grain fed," not something that most places have advertised in recent history. Then again, at the ripe age of 100, this place predates recent history. See here for all four menus.
