Portland-based pizza chainlet Otto Pizza tells Eater that it plans to open another Boston location, and in a former Upper Crust space, no less. (The Globe's Devra First hears the same.) Otto is headed for 888 Commonwealth Ave near BU and will have about 50 seats plus beer and wine at the new spot, its third in the area, with others in Harvard Square and Coolidge Corner. The Upper Crust had been Boston's go-to local pizza chain but has taken a major PR hit after being accused of labor violations, closing three locations, and suffering massive internal conflict. Earlier Grub Street posited that Otto could become the new Upper Crust, and, well, that's what seems to be happening.
