Free Meals for Cabbies; Burger Bash

DOWNTOWN CROSSING - GEM Restaurant & Lounge is showing its appreciation for Boston cabbies. On Wednesday afternoon, July 18th, GEM will give away a free takeout meal to any cab driver that pulls up outside GEM. The boxed meal includes a Sam Lagrassa’s sandwich, warm potato chips and caramelized onion dip from GEM and a mini cupcake from Cakeology. The meals will be given away between 3 and 5pm. BROOKLINE - To celebrate winning People's Choice in Boston Magazine's Best Burger competition, The Fireplace is holding its own Burger Bash 2012 on Sunday, July 19th.
