Prezza, one of the North End's most critically acclaimed restaurants, has been temporarily closed due to smoke and water damage following a fire yesterday morning. The Globe reports that Prezza suffered an estimated $350,000 damages and "will be closed for several weeks" due to the fire, which injured four firefighters. The Boston Fire Dept. reports via Twitter that injuries were minor ("back, wrist, leg, arm") and that the fire occurred in the kitchen ducts.
Update: Prezza chef-owner Anthony Caturano says he hopes to reopen by Labor Day.
