The heather ale at the Cambridge Brewing Co. is one of the most distinctive beers brewed in the Boston area due to the unique flavor and aroma of its chief ingredient. The old Northern European recipe uses barely any hops and relies instead on herbs including fresh heather flowers. CBC shared a photo of this year's heather harvest via yfrog, but if you're breastfeeding, you might not want to drink the results.
Correction: The heather ale does contain a small amount of hops, although this post originally said that it did not.
