Before the OtherSide Cafe closed in April, an employee told Eater that the hipster-before-hipster hangout was looking for another location, and it seems the shuttered restaurant may now rise again. Universal HUB says the venue "is negotiating a lease on space in the South End." UH also reports that the owner told the licensing board that he aims to secure a lease within six weeks and to complete renovations by as soon as six months, hoping to hang onto the old liquor license. There's no word yet whether the OtherSide will reopen as the OtherSide or as something else, or if the South End will indeed become its next home, but it appears that the cafe still has some life in it.
