The Emerald Lounge opens tomorrow, June 7, at the new Revere Hotel, which takes the place of the Radisson in the Theater District. Inspiration for the concept is said to derive from the local string of green space known as the Emerald Necklace, but really they probably just wanted to make a place that looked like Oz. Inside, there's the wild interior you see at top, complete with a very tornado-like chunk of metal, and outside there's a two level patio that seats 30. Locke-Ober alum Teodora bakardzhieva womans the bar, with drinks like the Ten Thyme Smashed, featuring Tanqueray 10, lime, white cranberry juice, cucumber, and thyme. On the menu you'll find upscale bar bites like duck spring rolls, with orange-glazed duck confit, shredded vegetables, and sweet chili-garlic dipping sauce. Starting tomorrow, the Emerald Lounge will be open every night till 2am.
