From commenter Jolyon Helterman: "The problem with Pairings is that it was 100 percent tone-deaf ("Food...With an Attitude"), like someone had studied a few Jamie Bissonnette or Michael Scelfo menus, jotted down some of the buzzy ingredients (chorizo! head-on shrimp!), then promptly recontextualized them into hotel-ized, out-of-towner-targeted food... a downtown-Framingham version of what someone imagined a small-plates-driven, casual Oringer menu might look like."
