Urban Foraging Class; Italian Cocktail Invasion

HARVARD SQUARE - The Globe muses on what makes the ten-year-old UpStairs on the Square tick. "You have to wonder if it’s the restaurant, the location, or the quirkiness everyone has come to expect." [BG]

BAY VILLAGE - Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro executive chef Josh Lewin is offering a class at the Boston Center for Adult Education on urban foraging. The chef will teach students how to create "a multi-course meal that includes two light courses, an entrée, and a dessert" all featuring urban, wild edibles. Monday, July 16, 6:00pm to 9:00pm, $85, register here. [Official Site]

EAST CAMBRIDGE - In solidarity with Italy during the Euro 2012 semi finals, Dante has added a new (to most Americans) cocktail to its menu, hoping that the Aperitivo Veneziano Spritz somehow buoys their team to victory. Watch the game and toss one back this Thursday, June 28, starting at 2:30pm. [Official Site]
