KO Pies at the Shipyard Marches Towards Full Menu

KO Pies at the Shipyard officially opened with a limited menu on Tuesday, and owner Sam Jackson tells Eater that he plans to have all salads and sides available starting tomorrow, June 22. He also said that he appreciates his patrons' patience as things come together; as a reward, he's working on getting you some shade for the patio. By next weekend Jackson hopes to have the entire menu available, including sandwiches like the grilled local whitefish, bar snacks such as sticky spare ribs with hoisin sauce, and desserts along the lines of char-grilled, rum-soaked pineapple and coconut ice cream. Like that doesn't sound incredible in this mind-melting heat. KO Pies at the Shipyard, which was originally going to be called KO Pub and Pies, takes the place of Scups in the Harbour and joins KO Catering and Pies in Southie as the city's second spot for Aussie cuisine, especially those namesake savory little pies.
