Brewer’s Coalition Bringing Beer Food to Newtonville

A new beer temple dubbed Brewer’s Coalition is slated for an August 1 opening in Newtonville, and the owner tells the Newton Patch that there will be beer, food, and food with beer in it. Brewer's Coalition comes from the delightfully named restaurateur Bill Honeycutt, who also owns John Brewer’s Tavern locations in Waltham and Malden. The space was most recently C. Tsar's Mediterranean Bistro, but it has beer in its blood, having been a Watch City Brewery outpost earlier in life. According to the restaurant's website, there will be 50 craft beers and weekend brunch. Given the placement of the apostrophe in the restaurant's name, apparently it's named for a coalition belonging to a single brewer rather than a coalition of multiple brewers.
