KO Pies at the Shipyard has opened its doors for a soft-opening phase featuring a limited version of the full menu to come. The venue is East Boston's biggest-deal opening in recent history and comes from KO Catering and Pies owner Sam Jackson. The menu features Aussie meat pies and beer and wine from Down Under as well as creative dishes inspired by the maritime setting, like local Jonah crab salad with avocado, scallion and lime. And where else in town can you get mushies on toast with some Coopers stubbies to wash it down?
