Georgetown Cupcake Opens Tomorrow

The Newbury Street location of Georgetown Cupcake, the popular cupcake shop that originated Washington, D.C., has its grand opening tomorrow, June 16, at noon. Owners Katherine Kallinis and Sophie LaMontagne have garnered widespread fame with their TLC reality show, DC Cupcakes, which follows the sisters as they run and grow their business. The sisters were in attendance at the shop last night for a private reception to celebrate the newest location. Guests got to preview the new space and were treated to mini cupcakes and champagne. In honor of the grand opening tomorrow, the shop will be giving away one free cupcake per person all day beginning at noon. The address of the Georgetown Cupcake is 83 Newbury Street in Boston.
