A cable and padlock were not enough to stop a bunch of ne'er-do-wells from making off with an estimated $1,130 in patio furniture from Cristelle's in West Roxbury last Thursday. The West Roxbury Patch reports that "four metal chairs and six metal patio tables were taken from in front of the business" despite being "chained together and secured by a padlock, which was then affixed to the building." Police report the use of "an unknown cutting tool" and are reviewing the security footage. Other recent Boston area restaurant heists include the theft of plants and grease.
