Villa Mexico Tragically Denied Relocation

Villa Mexico owner Julie King said that this was the last chance. That if her hope of relocating wasn't approved by the zoning board, it would be curtains for her beloved restaurant, which has seen an outpouring of support from patrons as she struggled to secure its future. But now the Globe reports that it seems to be curtains indeed for the little Mexican restaurant in a gas station. Opponents say the move "did not fit the environment of the residential street and could bring increased traffic." Jerks. Villa Mexico's current space is slated for redevelopment, and by King's own account, barring a miracle, this looks to be the end of Villa Mexico. Come on, miracle...
