A Look Inside Tatte Bakery & Café, Now Open in Kendall

The second location of Tatte Bakery & Café opens today in Kendall Square, serving freshly baked breads and pastries as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner. Owner Tzurit Or began selling her signature "nut boxes" and French pastries at her first location in Brookline back in 2006. The new cafe, the latest addition to the burgeoning Kendall Square dining scene, offers a full roster of breakfast items, sandwiches and salads, and entrees. Many of the dishes reflect Tzurit's Israeli background, like shakshuka, with poached eggs, bell pepper and tomato, and a pistachio-filled croissant. Seating is available at the large communal table and smaller individual tables. The cafe also sells an extensive array of packaged pastries, breads, jams, and full-sized cakes and tarts.
