In this week's Cheap Eats column, Globe correspondent Catherine Smart wasn't too keen on All Star Pizza Bar. She advised that "you could do better elsewhere in the area," saying "The relatively thin crust has a tendency to flop" and suggesting that "Cooks need to crank up that lovely brick oven, and add a little salt to the dough to make it really shine." Owner Kosta Diamantopoulos shared this response with Eater: "Adding more salt and cranking up the oven will burn every pizza."
