Clear Conscience Cafe to Close this Summer

Photo: Yelp/Quinn E.

Earlier today Eater heard that Rafiki Bistro was closing in Cambridge, and now comes news that the Clear Conscience Cafe in Central Square, which is owned by the same folks, will close at the end of August. Cambridge Day reports that the cafe, which has been in business since 2007, is being forced out due to rising rents. The Harvest Co-op grocery store, which is located behind C3, is moving to a smaller space across the street, but co-owner Daniel Goldstein has not announced any plans to reopen the cafe elsewhere. It seems all his efforts will now go into the Rafiki replacement venture alluded to earlier.
