The Deal With Sip and Avery Provision Co.

When the now-shuttered Bina Osteria space reopens, here's more details as to what you can expect. Two concepts will share one roof: Sip Wine Bar & Kitchen, a restaurant, and Avery Provision Co., which will feature prepared foods, groceries, and "quick bites" (like breakfast sandwiches). Sip/Avery is the eight/ninth offering from the Legendary Restaurant Group, which also runs Max & Dylans, Papagayo and Andiamo. The owners feel Sip is "the perfect answer to the void in the theatre district" and that it will provide a venue where "food and drink turn into an experience." Sip will serve lunch, dinner and a post-theater menu of lighter fare. The menu will include shareable plates (!) featuring charcuterie, crostini, flatbreads, and... sushi?

For entrees, there will be a grass fed burger and cider-brined chicken. And what is there to actually sip? Thirty wines available in "sips," half and full glasses and another 150 by the bottle, some of which will be local. There will also be "a historically driven cocktail list" and "multi-flavored bellinis," which you might consume on the 70-seat patio. Avery will have a sushi station, soup, salad, appetizers, entrees and side dishes, available in "faux home-chef" mode and sold in a baking dish. Won't your friends be impressed/duped!
