The downtown Hilton's new restaurant Nix's Mate will open this Friday, says UrbanDaddy. As reported earlier, Nix's Mate replaces the former Caliterra and features a 22-seat bar plus a lounge with room for 30. The menu is "New England-inspired" and the kitchen is headed by Olives alum David Nevins. The name refers to an island in Boston harbor that is apparently cursed by a pirate, rather than a South American herbal tea belonging to a moon of Pluto.
