Red Island Restaurant, a Chinese restaurant on Warren Street in Dorchester, has been closed by the city due to health code violations. An official from Boston’s Inspectional Services Department told the Globe that the restaurant had "open oil tanks and raw sewage in the basement." 24seven, a nearby convenience store with a history of criminal activity, was also closed for health and safety violations. According to GrubHub, Red Island Restaurant served typical American Chinese food including egg foo young, pork fried rice and pu pu platters.
