Hot new restaurants just can't stop themselves from opening in Somerville, and now Local 149 founder Jason Owens is adding to the mix. Grub Street reports that Owens plans to open an "American restaurant with Southern influences," a description which is basically de rigueur for new restaurants these days, in Davis Square by June. Owens is also said to be involved with a 5,000-square-foot market slated for the upcoming Watermark Seaport building. Other venues bound for Somerville include East End Grille, Bronwyn, Amsterdam Falafelshop, Cafe Tango, The Bearded Pig, the Counter Culture coffee school, a wine bar by Dave's Fresh Pasta, maybe La Brasa, and M.F. Dulock Pasture-Raised Meats. Damn, Somerville!
