The JP Middle Eastern restaurant Sami’s Wrap n' Roll has undergone a transformation, emerging as Café Beirut. The current sign reads "Sami's Falafel Proudly Introduces Café Beirut, authentic Lebanese food," which suggests a lot of overlap between the old and new concept. The Jamaica Plain Gazette reports that the change occurred last month, and Boston Restaurant Talk notes that some of the menu remains the same. The new menu features "roll-up meat sandwiches," in-house savory pastries including za'atar pie and cheese aryes, plus their own hot sauce and "finger shaped baklava."
