Rosa Mexicano, an upscale Mexican chain based in NYC, says it's on track for a May opening in the Seaport district, and Eater popped inside for a sneak peek at the still unfinished space. The restaurant will seat about 300 including patio space for 130 and will feature menu items like tableside guac, flautas de pollo, scallop ceviche with burnt orange-chile vinaigrette, chicken and plantain tacos and pork shank with chipotle creamed spinach and red bean and chorizo chili. Rosa Mexicano opened its first location in 1984 and now has thirteen others throughout the U.S. and in Panama City. Existing locations are know for their glitzy interiors, so stay tuned for images of the finished space.
