Turns out that New York Times national editor and former restaurant critic Sam Sifton is a huge fan of the cornbread at East Coast Grill. Sifton provides a retrospective of the restaurant and suggests that the unchanging corn bread is a metaphor for stability during the current transfer of ownership. [NYT]
