Restaurateur Jack Bardy of The Beehive hopes to open a new venue called Liberal Servings smack dab in the middle of Harvard Square. Cambridge Day reports that Bardy will go before the License Commission on April 3 seeking a liquor license for a 328 seat space at 13 Brattle Street that will include a dining room, a private dining room, a patio, two bars and room for dancing and performances. The article also notes that Liberal Servings would join The Sinclair, a restaurant and concert hall coming this fall to the same block. If approved, its license will have come from the former Ristorante Marino via the new Bourbon Coffee (which didn't need it). The mixed-use Liberal Servings sounds Beehive-esque and would add a new breed of dining/dancing/poetry reading destination to the square.
