Yesterday a new North End coffee and sandwich shop called My Cousin's Place opened on Hanover in what was formerly Contrada's Coffee. North End Waterfront reports that My Cousin's Place serves three meals a day, and a photo of the cafe's menu board shows several sandwich options like The Waterfront, with sweet Italian sausage, broccoli rabe and provolone, and a celebration of thinly sliced pig known as The Firehouse (not to be confused with Firehouse Subs), with prosciutto, salami and mortadella. Coffee, espresso and cappuccino are also on hand. Photos of the opening imply that the venture is a family affair, which suggests that My Cousin's Place is indeed someone's cousin's place.
