Firehouse Subs Plans June Opening in Back Bay

Previously Eater reported that the Florida-based chain Firehouse Subs is planning to open a ton of stores in the area, and now the Globe confirms that the company aims to be in Back Bay by June. According to the Globe, Firehouse Subs has plans for a whopping 85 New England locations with one coming to Boylston Street near Copley Square that is "slated for a June opening." The article also notes that the company was founded by real, live firefighters and plans to shake things up with its "steaming process" that is "unique to Firehouse." We have seen the future: fall goes right into summer and the landscape is dotted with steamed sub shops.
