In an interview with the UK's Metro, former hunk and current actor/restaurateur Mark Wahlberg says he's planning an overseas expansion for Wahlburgers, the Hingham restaurant he owns with his brothers. "We’re opening a bunch of them in Britain and Ireland this year," said Wahlberg, who describes business as "phenomenal," noting that the restaurant earns $17,000 a day. And what about his own dietary habits? He says his current employers "were a little disappointed because I had been eating a lot of pasta." In previous interviews Wahlberg hinted that Wahlburgers might be opening near Fenway and suggested that it should carry an item called The Dirk Diggler Dog.
Update: a spokesperson for the company says that "nothing has been set in stone yet."
