Otto Pizza is "targeting a May 1 opening" for its upcoming Coolidge Corner location, according to a tweet sent earlier today. The new Brookline location will be the Portland-based company's second in Boston and fifth overall, on the heels of its mostly takeout operation in Harvard Square. Otto first told Eater about the expansion in a January interview with owner Anthony Allen, when he promised "a 60 seat deal, same pie, some sort of elevated salads, beer and wine."
Sure enough, that sounds like exactly what we'll see, with Otto having gained its license last month. Allen also told Eater that the Harvard Sq. opening went smoothly besides a burst pipe, but with temperatures like this it's unlikely that he'll face another "giant skating ring outside of the shop."
